Former Spartan GSA chair Jimmy Stata with his children's book ALL ABOUT GENDER
JIMMY'S BOOK IS IN THE NEWS!
A former Espanola High School student and a member of the Spartan Gay Straight Alliance has published a book about gender.
Developed for children aged four, Jimmy Stata created All About Gender after an assignment was given to his equity and diversity class last year.
“Jayson Stewart assigned us all the task of writing a children’s story using one of the pronouns we learned in class,” Stata explained. “I looked at the requirement and figured out I may as well make the whole book about gender.”

THANKS FOR THE THANKS!
In November 2015, the Spartan Gay Straight Alliance, in partnership with Reseau ACCESS Network, hosted the Bundle Up In Red Campaign for HIV/AIDS Awareness. Hundreds of scarves were tied to tries and telephone poles for passersby to take. Each scarf had a leaflet on HIV/AIDS. We couldn't keep up with the demand for scarves!
JIMMY STATA IS PUBLISHED!
Jimmy Stata's children's book, All About Gender, has been published by the Spartan Gay Straight Alliance and will be available through LULU.COM and is also available at Amazon.ca and Barnesandnoble.com.
